First and foremost, Mr. Bradley, is the proud and loving father of three sons, who are all in their thirties now. He is also the doting grandfather of two beautiful grandsons.

After college, Mr. Bradley went on to work at Georgetown Shipyard, taking part in the construction of two Canadian Coast Guard ships.

In 1987, he went on to work in the Carpenter’s Union, where he quickly rose to the top of his trade as a carpenter, where he supervised and managed many large construction projects. These projects included playing a large role in the construction of the Confederation Bridge, serving as the general foreman overseeing dozens of workers and many trades in the drop-in girder fabrication portion of the Bridge. During this time, Mr. Bradley excelled in his position where he had to often design and fabricate different applications, and designs that played a vital part in the Bridge construction.

A few years after the Bridge was built, Mr. Bradley went on to forming his own construction company “Do-It Now Construction Inc.”, specializing in the restoration of Island heritage buildings and homes.

Candidate Statement:

I bring decades of working with people to get things done, including in voluntary positions and in my career in the construction industry. Problem solving is where I thrive. I have been at the top of my game, and also well aware of how it feels to be at the bottom and finding the strength and ability to pull myself back up no matter how hard the fall. I believe it's important to never think you have all the answers, and to never be afraid to ask for help or advice. I believe we need to see more of this in the Legislature. I believe it's time the government put people ahead of building roads and their other big pet projects. Finally, I bring my natural ability to listen and learn, and to always show compassion to my adversaries.
