Montague, PE - Farmer, Patrick Brothers, today announced that he is running for the Green Party of PEI in District 2, Georgetown-Pownal.

Brothers was raised on his family’s farms in Eastern PEI and has worked on farms for most of his life. He currently operates a beef/hay farm with his wife and son on Greenfield Road, near Summerville.

“I understand, from my personal and work experience, the struggles rural Islanders are facing in healthcare, education, and employment. Healthcare is the right of every Islander and access to healthcare in rural PEI has deteriorated over the past decade,” says Brothers. “I want to make a difference as a Green MLA and work toward solid, forward thinking, and sustainable land protection and rural development. We need innovative, equitable, and sustainable solutions to these challenges - for the future of all of our children and the island.”
